A Long Island native, with a couple of Manhattan and Brooklyn living spurts in between, Samantha has been picking up a pencil to draw since before she can remember. Her grandmother, however, can recall further back and even has a framed piece of paper that was the first of the many, many, many, sketches to come. Samantha grew up knowing what she wanted to be, but also aware it was not going to be an easy journey to become it. Luckily, she is quite possibly one of the most stubborn people to have ever been born.
With a growing number of book titles, eBooks, and coloring books available via iTunes, Amazon and BN.com Samantha has independently established herself as both an author and illustrator. Her endeavors as a graphic designer have opened Samantha’s work up to being exposed in multiple platforms around the country as well as internationally: whether it has been on items distributed on the streets of Astoria, billboards on Georgian Expressways, or merchandise available all the way in Japan.
Never straying from her roots as a fine artist, Samantha has been privately commissioned to create art ranging in genre from abstract paintings to realistically rendered family and pet portraits. Her admiration for nature and design can be seen in each of these works hanging in homes all over New York State – from the Hamptons, to Brooklyn to Albany – as well as across the country to the state of Washington.
